Pro.03Static Progression

Full Eagle

Two flyers complete a continuous full Eagle and return to their original orientations with minimal heading or altitude change.

Prerequisite: Head-Down Transitions.

Desired outcome: Two flyers complete a continuous full Eagle and return to their original orientations with minimal heading or altitude change.

Reference material: IBA Flight Tutorial #59.

Key points:

  • Begin with the same over-under relationship used for the half Eagle.
  • Continue through the role exchange instead of stopping halfway.
  • Each flyer returns to the starting orientation.
  • Maintain eye contact throughout the maneuver.

Manual source: Static Progression Coach Manual, Lesson Plan #28.

Coaching and safety: Brief both slots, initiation, flight paths, eye contact, levels, abort, and separation. Build the full maneuver only after both flyers can complete each half safely and predictably.
